Ex-SSP Service Reservoir

“Convenience” is exactly why I love Hong Kong.
On a sunny morning, no planning or companionship, just put on a cap, grab a small shoulder bag and go for a hike.
Just 6 minutes from the urban city, you are at this Grade one historic site: the Ex-Sham Shui Po Service Reservoir. Built in 1904, it features an ancient Roman- style architectural design. The concrete cove ceiling is supported by 108 granite pillars. Each pillar is composed of 14 granite blocks with a rough surface and a protruding center each. Together with the red brick arches, you can take your time and enjoy the space.
It is hot outside today while cool inside the reservoir. Definitely one good place to visit.
