East meets West is a Hong Kong lifestyle. You can easily find a lot of examples here. A perfect example is *The Bethanie. Built in 1875 once was an important base of the French Catholic missionary work in East Asia. It is 151 years old and located in Pok Fu Lam, Hong Kong Island.
Look at this symmetrical, off-white Neo-Gothic architecture, it is stunning under sunny and blue sky.

Sitting on the solid wood chair in the corridor, basking in the sun, is a perfect way to spend a “healthy and beautiful” day. It reminds me of a buyer's request for a wooden chair – they needed to be symmetrical.
* The Bethanie was declared a monument on 22 November 2013 and is protected under the Antiquities and Monuments Ordinance Hong Kong.
